Thirteen ultimately admits to House that she did what she needed to when her brother’s time had come, and that now she is alone and will have no one there for her when her time comes. House later tells her that he is willing to euthanise her when she needs him to and rehires her onto his group. Cuddy overrules House’s choice, forcing him to just accept a woman, realizing solely a minute later that this had been House’s plan from the start.
The complete previous night was an entire hallucination, starting from him telling Cuddy that he wanted her to help him detox and her accompanying him home. His memory of Cuddy staying by his aspect at his condo was not actual, and, actually, he spent the night popping pills by himself.
