Food & Cooking

Groups are kept small to ensure a positive and supportive environment in which to learn. All food and equipment is provided and everyone gets a free recipe book to take home at the end. The Department of Education’s Curriculum Services will develop and regularly revise the curriculum. This Food & Cooking evaluation will be informed by the experience of the course’s implementation, delivery and assessment.In addition, stakeholders may request Curriculum Services to review a particular aspect of an accredited course. This process may also include interviews with past and present students.

Plumber Soda is a pipe fitting logic puzzle game where you play as a boy or a girl arranging the pipes to get the soda to fill the big bottle at the end of the level. Sweet Memory Game is an eight stage memory flashcard game which is not timed and offers an unlimited number of match attempts. Katana Fruits is a fruit slicing game where you have to try to hit every piece of fruit on the game while missing the bombs. Cut for Cat 2 is the 100-level sequel to the original physics puzzle game with many challenging upgrades including magnets and air blowers. Cut for Cat is a 30-level physics game where you cut ropes to help guide a piece of candy toward a hungry cat below.

Candy Blast is a 30-stage match 3 in a row game where players have a limited number of moves to make the quota. Make longer matches to earn power ups & finish with many moves remaining to boost your score and earn a 3-star rating on each stage. Apples is a match 3 bubble shooting game where you try to remove all the apples from the playing field before any of them get down to the line near the bottom of the screen.

The starch granule is made up of two polysaccharide components, known as amylose and amylopectin. Amylose has a linear chain of glucose units, whilst amylopectin has a branched structure of glucose units. When cooked in water, the starch granules absorb water and swell. At the same time, amylose leaches out of the granules and bonds to form organised lattice structures, which trap the water molecules causing the thickening of the mixture.

Meatballs and Gravy

This game is somewhat fast paced, making it good for fifth to sixth grade. Burger Maker stack ingredients according to the order list to make a perfect made-to-order burger in 10 to 15 seconds. When done with the ingredient list you have to click the “serve now” button under the burger to deliver it to the customer. Ingredients must be added from bottom to top to stack them in the correct order.

Sweets Memory is a memory flash card game where children match desserts. Players can choose between 6, 8, 10 and 12 matching pieces per playing field to enjoy varying degrees of difficulty. Cut Fruit is a tap fruit slicing game where you chop as many fruits as you can without hitting a bomb. If you play on a larger screen you may need to shrink the browser window size a bit if the hit detection is not working as well as you might expect.

This game is fun for a couple quick plays but would grow boring for older students after a few rounds. Bunnicula Harmonica Hopper is an idle vegetable collecting game. Swipe in any direction to move Bunnicula across the playing field.
